Finally I am able to launch Project Make Your Own Website.

For years I had been building websites on subdomains of this web. They were:

• Test sites that were later moved to their own domains.
• Review sites for PPC campaigns
• Sites for Google Adsense.
• And test sites for some of my web building experiments.

While sites moved out of this domain received a certain degree of success, Starising remained unattended all these years.
It was a site with no niche no plan and no direction.

Lost since 2004

Having neglect the development of this domain since 2004, it’s no accident that ranking of this web remains low.

This project of making your website works will be a test of implementing what I’ve learnt; also a time to unlearn and relearn.

It also enables me to develop an action plan an putting them to practice..
Maintaining a record of what I’ve learnt else it’s a waste of time and effort learning a new code and not even using it.

Thought the template is considered done, the research for keywords is still at it’s infancy.

Blueprint for success

The blueprint is still not out and only a few pages published.

While I tried to rush, I have to constantly remind myself -this cannot be a rush job, else it will defeat its purpose.

If I am unable to win the SEO battle, it only proved that the foundation part was not done properly; preparation was not adequate.

Again the main culprit is still time spent on getting the template right than on building content pages.

Should this site succeeded, it’s no surprise.
But should it failed, it only showed that I didn’t build it with a strong foundation.

For the next few years, it will be about testing, tracking and tweaking.
